Welcome to Lyceum, Melbourne's leading language centre!

High Quality

Students in French ClassWe specialise in language tuition in small and friendly adult groups of 3-10 students, with an average of 6. Our dedicated teachers all have native-speaking ability and use the highly successful Communicative Method. This teaching method gives you plenty of opportunity for conversation and helps you to make fast progress in our 10-week courses. If you would like to test our classes before you book, call us to attend one of our free trial classes for beginners. See our testimonials

Flexible Options

Student in Japanese ClassWe are the leading language school in Melbourne offering 7 languages and the largest number of class options. Choose the centre that suits you best, CBD or North Fitzroy. You can study at your own pace, 1.5 hours per week or 2.75 hours per week. We have a number of late starting classes and catch up lessons for those who want to join us after our term has started. Our friendly, multilingual staff will be happy to talk you through the best options for you.

Great Environment

LOTE and ESL student at Lyceum partyWe make great use of the fact that we also have international students studying English, our seventh language. This creates lots of opportunities for students to socialise and practise their language skills. Lyceum activities include parties, BBQs on our rooftop garden, quiz nights or weekends away at our beach house in Lorne. We also organise early evening conversation hours, language workshops and an intercultural partner program, where we pair you with one of our international students.
"The secret to our success lies in small groups, the communicative method and excellent service provided by teachers and admin alike."   ROSALBA FOGLIANI, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF STUDIES
